AG COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS AND VISUAL ELECTRONICS LTD. ANNOUNCE JOINT MARKETING AGREEMENT FOR HOSTED CALL CENTER SOLUTIONS

FOR RELEASE: WEDNESDAY, JUNE 26, 2002

PHOENIX - AG Communication Systems, a subsidiary of Lucent Technologies (NYSE: LU), and Visual Electronics, Ltd., (VEL) a leading manufacturer of visual call center communications solutions, announced today they have entered into a joint marketing agreement for network-based call centers. Under terms of the agreement, both companies will jointly develop business opportunities for AG Communication Systems' ClientCare™ network-based call center system and VEL's line of DIGITAL-FAX automated call delivery monitors (ACDMs).

ClientCare Call Center enables service providers to provide their customers with the most advanced network-based call center solutions available today. With ClientCare, enterprise customers get inbound call handling and routing that can be blended with sophisticated outbound campaigns and a comprehensive Internet Suite of services. The Internet Suite gives call-center agents the ability to simultaneously handle voice, e-mail, fax, chat, call-back and call-through queries and to provide the same level of customer support to e-commerce customers as traditional customers.

The VEL Digital-Fax, a sophisticated ACDM with a light emitting diode (LED) display, provides instantaneous mission-critical call center data to agents in many of the leading call centers across the United States. Also serving as a key employee communications tool, Digital-Fax displays important messages and real-time information that enables call center supervisors and teams to improve efficiency in the rate of calls in queue, average wait time, speed of answer, longest call in queue and production figures.

"This agreement fully leverages the capabilities of both products," said Ken Arndt, vice president of marketing at AG Communication Systems. "Visual Electronics is an industry leader in banner board technology. In this release of ClientCare, we are happy to include them as our first certified board partner in the suite of ancillary contact management options available to customers."

"We have had a longstanding relationship with Lucent, so partnering with AGCS was a natural fit," says VEL's President and CEO Dennis M. Dougherty. "This will allow us to service customers better and create win-win opportunities for both companies."

With its headquarters in Denver, Visual Electronics, Ltd. (VEL), developed the first visual communications system for the growing call center industry. Founded in 1978 by Dennis M. Dougherty, VEL has since become the industry leader in visual call center communications solutions. The company's flagship product, Digital-Fax, is a sophisticated automatic call distribution monitor (ACDM) with a light emitting diode (LED) display. Digital-Fax provides instantaneous access to mission-critical call center data to agents in many of the leading call centers across the United States. Also serving as a key employee communications tool, Digital-Fax displays important messages and real-time information that enables call center supervisors and teams to improve efficiency in the rate of calls in queue, average wait time, speed of answer, longest call in queue, and production figures.
